Cortneys Bridal Shower

I threw Cortney a bridal shower today!

We live in Ohio and what do you know there was a massive snow storm that came through. Not everyone was able to make it to the shower but we still had a nice turn out.

I wanted to share what we did for it!

Here is my pinterest page. I used pinterest for my inspiration for everything. Check under my “Cortney’s Bridal Shower Board”.

Got this idea from Pinterest and figured we could do it ourselves instead of ordering it. And it came out perfect! How yummy.

We choose strawberry cupcakes with a strawberry icing. I will upload that recipe asap! We also just bought a black cardboard piece to keep them on.

We played two games. Very simple yet fun for all! The “He Said/She Said” game was a downloadable link from Pinterest!

For the winners of the game I ordered very cute lip balms from gcd spa.

Finally, for the party favor we choose to make Carmel Popcorn. My Mom found these adorable Chinese boxes on clearance at Target and we knew they would be perfect!

We had great time besides the snow! Love you Cort, cant wait until March 22nd.

Family Pictures by LB Photography

Lori (LB Photography) and I had planned to meet up in November 2012 to have our family pictures done! Well that day didn’t quite work out so we finally found time again a few weeks ago.

We looked at a few color options/poses on Pinterest. We knew we had to find some good poses considering we had 14 people! Here were a few poses Lori had pinned on pinterest for our big family: http://pinterest.com/LBBoutique12/family-photo-shoot/

We decided on blue/tan/white with a little bit of pink added in! (Love these colors and we both agreed they would look nice all together). Lori said we need some patterns to be added in so it wouldn’t be so plain. Stripes, plaid, layers it was! It was stressful trying to coordinate 14 peoples outfits but staying on the color scheme we just had to make sure we didn’t have too many stripes/etc.

They came AMAZING!! We did 2 group shots followed by each individual family.

I loved how the colors turned out together!

I had heard the song “Don’t Ya” on the radio a few months back. Fell in love with it instantly.

Brett Eldredge’s debut album “Bring you Back” came out on Tuesday and it has been playing on repeat in my car every since!

We spend the day at the Beach Club on Kiawah. finally sunny and it turned into a beautiful day!

Finally heard from Cortney!

Cortneys mom has sent me a few text saying she has talked to Cortney a few time over the course of 4 days. I had not heard from her until today!

She made it to the lake where she will doing her research. She posted a picture on her blog and it is gorgeous.

I told her to be safe over there with all those wild animals and I ended up getting stung by a stingray yesterday and had to go to urgent care/er last night. Moat painful thing I have ever experience in my life. I got a shot and have to take antibiotics for the next week. Feeling much better now!

Last PB Class for 12 Days

I am on day 5/5 in a row at Pure Barre today. My body hurts. I had to squeeze in as much as I could before I leave tomorrow for Kiawah!

PB Guilt is a real thing. The quilt of missing 12 days of Pure Barre is really setting in. I honestly feel guilty. So guilty, that I looked up the downtown Charleston studio. That’s 45 minutes away and I think the beach/swimming/biking/tennis will all be way too much fun to leave. I will just remember to tuck :).

So last Friday, Pure Barre had a “Bring on the men” night. It was so fun and very funny. There were 8 guys in the class. They sweated and didn’t have clue what was going on but they were all sore after 🙂 Thanks PB Dayton, please host another men’s night soon.

Megan took my nephew, Jaxon and I took Jordan.

I have not heard from Cortney since yesterday morning. I try not to worry. I am sure she is having fun and I hope she is taking a lot of awesome pictures!

Kiawah tomorrow. CAN.NOT.WAIT.

Cortney Takes Africa

Cortney is off to the airport today about 11. She is looking at about 18.5 hours total on a plane.

She will leave Ohio at 1:20pm Friday and arrive in Africa at 9:40pm Saturday. (Africa is 7 hours ahead of us)
