I don’t always make a protein shake after working out but this one I wish I could drink all day long. It is that good.
I found this recipe from Tenley Molzahn’s website “Sweet and Free Life”. (Tenley is from the Bachelor Franchise on ABC).
The Peanut Butter Protein Shake is easy to make and it tastes so good.
Give it a try after your next workout!
Peanut Butter Protein Shake
• 1 scoop of Chocolate Whey Protein (Can use vanilla/dark chocolate or another flavor if wanted)
• 1/2 cup Almond Milk
• 2 tbsp. Peanut Butter
• 1/2 cup of ice
Blend all ingredients.
1 serving. Drink after your workout only.
The 20 class challenge in the month of May officially ends tomorrow but I completed my 20th class yesterday!!!!! Whew..2 days to spare :).
I am so obsessed with Pure Barre that I am going for class #21 tonight. I have completed over 60 classes total now!

This weekend went way too fast. Well they all go fast!
Went over for a cookout over at Cortney and Tristan’s place on Friday (Cortney has been my best friend since about 8th grade). I drank way too much Riesling and Fireball Whiskey. If you have not had Fireball you are missing out. It is a cinnamon whiskey. Goes down like candy 🙂
Had Pure Barre on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Both classes kicked my ass. I am getting so much better at everything and really starting to notice a difference in my body. So worth it.
Saturday night was awesome. Went with the family to the new Columbus Casino (Hollywood). I lost all my money. One of the guys I work with is in a group called “Touch” and they performed at the casino! A bunch of us from work went up to support him.
They are such a fun Motown group who sing so many old classics along with some new stuff. I mean how awesome are those gold suits?

Finished the weekend off by playing our first 7.5 combo match with my Mom as my partner! We lost but we played really well and had fun.
Sad it is Monday but next weekend is going to be so much fun! Tim McGraw concert with Cortney followed by a night in Put In Bay together for one of our friends Bachelorette parties! I have a feeling I will not be drinking for a while after this weekend. Yikes.

Mom and I were the featured Mother/Daughter duo at Pure Barre yesterday. They will feature a Mother/Daughter for all of this week in honor of Mothers Day next Sunday!

Meet Alex and Diane Tobey. They have been coming to Pure Barre Dayton since January. They take a few classes together a week and would take more together if their busy schedules allowed. They both love the way class makes them feel strong and energized. Pure Barre has become such a part of their lives that when they are in the same room with a lot of people, they just look at each other and say “tuck, and tuck”!

I am not one to “have fun” while working out. I hate running, I get bored at the gym and I have no motivation besides trying to look ok in a swimsuit in the summer.
Well in January I discovered Pure Barre. It is a mix of Pilates, Yoga, Plyometrics and Ballet. It is all VERY small movements. So small an inch this way, an inch that way is all you are moving.
I couldn’t walk after my first class and I still can’t walk even after doing it for close to 5 months now. Their moto is to LTB (Lift Tone Burn). This happens every class. You burn between 400-650 calories in a 60 minute class. Your body will shake but boy does it work. You see results after just ten classes. So you come into the room and grab your weights, ball and band. The warm up and Arm exercising is always the same. The different excerisies for your thighs, seat (butt) and abs is up to the instructor.
You start with your warm-up which will make you tired and can’t believe that you have 55 minutes left of class.
You start with Arms. Such a good arm workout using your own weight (planks/push ups, etc) followed by different moves using 2 or 3 pound weights.
Next you move onto thighs. This KILLS me. You do 3 different thigh exercises and it is all tough! Your legs will shake and that is the point! Embrace your Shake!
On to “seat” work..AKA your butt. Two excerises here (per class) and your butt is bound to look amazing! If someone was to walk into class, they would truly think we are not doing anything!
Finally minutes of class are spend on ab work. You spend around 10 minutes on ab exercises. Your abs with shake and it will hurt but it is totally worth it!
