September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Let’s go GOLD for the kids!
We need to get companies/sports teams/celebrities to go gold before pink!
Maya Thompson (Ronan’s Mom) had enough people (Over 25,000) sign a petition on the governments website to turn the White House gold for September. They finally released a statement in regards to it. They turned us down. You can read the statement here.
Please inform people that Childhood Cancer is NOT rare.

Let’s go GOLD for;
I fell in love with Ronan when Taylor Swfit sang her song “Ronan” at Stand Up to Cancer in 2012. Children deserve so much more. He has inspired me.
I wanted to come up with a plan to take fun items to the patients at Children’s Hospital. After some convincing and emailing back in forth with a few people I finally got the A Okay.
My neice, Riley and I arrived at Dayton Children’s Hospital and had to put together our “goodie” cart!
We had a mix of books, coloring books, crayons, magazines and stuffed animals! We also had some flowers to give to the mom’s for Mother’s Day.
We met about 15 children and their families. Started on the onclogy floor where we met some little fighters! After we finsihed there we made our way down to the 3rd floor and met some other sweet faces. We smiled, talked and handed out items that the kids would love. It was such a pleasure to meet those amazing children who are fighting a long hard battle!
Riley and I will go back with more stuff than last and bigger smiles on our faces than before. They all deserve it.
2 years ago today, Ronan passed away after an 8 month battle with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. May 12th would be his 6th birthday. Do something for him. Ronan’s Day of Love (www.rockstarronan.com)
I have my purple on today! Goes very well with my Fu*k You Cancer, Rockstar Ronan bracelet.
It is finally almost the weekend. I am excited. This week has gone by slow and I am ready for a break from work. AKA a few drinks tonight sounds perfect!
I wore my Rockstar Ronan bracelet today. Always makes me feel good. Maybe because it say Fu*k You Cancer on it. If you don’t know who Ronan is, please look up his mom’s blog. He was 3 when he died from Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer. He makes me want to do better and be a better person everyday. Plus he is the most gorgeous child I have ever seen. He didn’t have to die. Need awareness and more funding! RockstarRonan.com.
